In 1988 I was offered an exhibition at the Carnegie Gallery in Dundas to show case a series of woodcut prints that I had embarked on based on “live’ drawings I was making at the time of bands and bar scenes. Although I had been making relief prints at the time, mostly landscapes and a few people, I had been inspired to head in this direction by a print & drawing exhibition I had recently seen at the Art Gallery of Ontario by Franz Masreel.
